I began my journey as an RMT in 2008 when I graduated from my Massage Therapy Diploma program in my hometown of Calgary, Alberta. My program focused on understanding various forms of body stresses, including tendonitis and overuse injuries, TMJ dysfunction, low back pain, muscle tension, sprains, and pregnancy related issues. We also learned the integration of various therapeutic and relaxation techniques.
My passion to learn more about the diverse ailments of the human body, as well as my potential to facilitate healing for people, grew rapidly through my training. I gained experience in a multi-disciplinary clinic and continued to advance my skills as a therapist by studying various alternative healthcare techniques at the Wild Rose College of Natural Healing. I became fascinated with the nervous system and the brain and immersed myself in years of continued education in Craniosacral therapy and emotional release techniques. I continued working as an RMT, EMG technician and a Psychologist Assistant where I treated my clients with chronic pain complaints and stress related disorders, before moving to Vancouver in 2013.
I am thoroughly enjoying life here on the West Coast – I spend most of my free time hiking in the forest, camping, and spending long days wandering the beaches in and around Vancouver. I have always found comfort in the drizzly grey days, the grounding energy of the trees, and the constant flow of the ocean. Every day I am grateful to live in a city surrounded by so much beauty and vibrancy, which truly allows me to experience life to the fullest.
I have always had a great respect for the complexity of the human body, and I enjoy working with my clients to help them resolve their physical ailments and achieve optimal health. Whether you have an acute injury and want to speed up the healing process, are dealing with chronic pain from past trauma, and/or want to maintain a healthy state of balance within your body, I am happy to create an individualized treatment plan to support your unique needs and goals.
